So got side-tracked - but pg has 156K karma, but is not on the leaderboard (/leaders). I assume that dang etc are not there either but I had not really thought about it.

If this gets popular I might have to try and find my first HN login - I want that OG badge. :-)

Which kind of is the point - I dont really want to worry about those sort of things - I am glad HN is staying off this course. But it is fun :-)
